name: Tsuki Asukai
age: 16
dob: February 24
Special abilities: onmyoujitsu (yin-yang magic)
occupation: student
languages: English, Japanese
Religion: Shinto
Pull me under Pull me under
Pull me under I'm not afraid
All that I feel is honor and spite
All I can do is to set it right
History: Half-Japanese, half-British, Tsuki was born in London, the daughter of a Japanese woman, Hoshiko Asukai, and British man, Timothy Allen. Her parents divorced when she was very young, as the cultural divide was too much for her parents to overcome-at least, that was the reason that she was told. The only sign of the girl's resentment towards her father is the fact that she has chosen to bear her mother's family name instead of her father's. Tsuki's mother left England to return home to Nagasaki, back to her parents' house, and took her daughter with her. Tsuki spent much of her early childhood in Nagasaki, quietly living with her mother and her grandparents, who loved her dearly, but did not often speak of their affection or show outward displays of affection: it was their actions, mainly, that showed the girl how much they cared about her. Her grandmother took her under her wing and quietly taught her the secrets of yin-yang magic: Tsuki obediently learned, but was puzzled by the oblique hints that her grandmother threw her way about something greater waiting for her. No matter how much she asked, no one would tell her anything.
She quietly watched the suffering that went on around her: while her family was a fortunate one, and did their best to help others, neither her mother nor her grandparents sought to try to shelter her from it. Instead, Tsuki wondered to herself why there was suffering in this world. Why no one could do anything about it. And then, quietly came a silent revelation that she kept to herself for years: couldn't suffering be ended forever through death?
It was not until Tsuki was fifteen, on the day of her birthday, that her relatives at last broke the silence. She had a role in the end of the world: she was one of the seven Angels of London, whose destiny it was to end humanity: shocked, the girl could only listen as the story of the vision that had come to one of the family's honored ancestors was unfolded before her. She also finally found out the reason for her parents' divorce: while the Asukai family had come to terms with the fact that one of their descendants would take part in the battle for the end of the world, as one of those meant to end humanity, Timothy Allen had not been prepared for the fact that his daughter was destined for such a thing, and divorced Hoshiko. It made no difference: Tsuki did not know her father, and did not care to know her father. The news of her destiny was something difficult for her to understand, or to swallow, but eventually, she came to realize that if *this* was to be her fate, then so would it be. At the age of sixteen, Tsuki left Nagasaki and returned to London, to live with her father-as much as she did not want to, for while he is making the effort to get to know his daughter, she is aloof and cold towards him-, in preparation for the end.
Personality: Quiet, solemn, gentle, and very much a "proper" Japanese girl (for, despite her British father, Tsuki regards herself as more Japanese then British), Tsuki is reserved, demure, and polite: her manners are exquisite. She never raises her voice, and she never looks or acts as anything less then then a lady: she is always dignified, serene, and far more serious then a girl her age should be. She holds to the precepts taught her by her relatives, and honor is something she prizes dearly. While she will run from a fight if need be-for she is not stupid-she will never fight dirty. Ever. For fighting dirty is dishonorable. She is so reserved, that she almost seems cold at times.
Tsuki is very devoted to her duty: she has been trained all her life in preparation for this, though she didn't know the specifics until a year ago. A perfectionist at heart, she will not accept failure. While she abhors suffering, as she is a gentle, kind girl, that does not stop her from doing her duty: instead, she will do her best to give all she can a clean, swift death, to not cause them lingering pain.
Clean, painless, neat, and final: that is the kind of ending Tsuki would have humanity have. For as long as humanity exists, there will only be more pain and suffering.
And she wants to end all pain.
Appearance: Tsuki is a tiny, slender girl, just below five feet tall, who dresses impeccably in dark, simple but ladylike clothing, rather Japanese in style: on occasion, she can be found in the school uniforms she brought with her from Japan, much to the annoyance of her father, who would like her to wear more British-style clothing. Beautiful, in a delicate, almost china doll fashion, she has waist-length, silver hair, kept loose and impeccably neat, not a strand out of place and blue-silver eyes: she rarely smiles, and her face is always composed, almost eerily so.
